Molecular Models Software

Hi guys!

Here is a link to the software I used to show you how molecules work.

There are instructions for how to install and use it.

1. Name and discuss three new things you learned about the body systems. What impressed you about them?

When we studied the bodily systems, I was very interested. Here are my three things:
a) The names of the body systems-I really enjoyed learning and memorizing these names because it's sometimes, the people who came up with these nmaes gave them really funny names.
b) The functions of the body systems-It was really interesting and exciting to learn how the body systems functioned because once you know how the systems functioned, then you can compare that system to other systems and see how important that system is to other systems, or for other reasons.
c) Homeostasis-One of the toughest things to understand that I learned about was the body performing 'homeostasis.' I was really shocked and confused the first time I encountered this, in class, but eventually, I came to have a slightly better understanding of the term and once I did, I learned all about it, like how homeostasis is so important for your body's functionings.

2. Name and discuss five relationships you saw between how the parts of the systems are built and what they do. Each of these relationships should come from a different system.

a) The nervous system has a special relationship by maintaining homeostasis so that we don't get hurt, or anything bad like that.
b) Oh yes the excretory system does this by removing waste from your body, and these wastes can include: Carbon Dioxide (CO2-the 2 should be smaller)through exhaling, salt and water (H20-again, the 2 should be smaller) through your sweat, and of course, bodily fluids via pee.
c) The respiratory system does this by inhaling and exhaling, a.k.a. in comes the oxygen (02-stupid 2), and out goes the carbon dioxide (C02-o my god, the stupid 2).
d) The endocrine system does this by secreting hormones to the rest of your body to keep it running smoothly (also making your reproductive hormones).
e) Last, we have got to include the digestive system, which I think of as the most extraordinary system because it is able to take food into the mooth and through the digestive process, take the porteins that are needed for the body to function, and convert the rest into feces that is then conveniantly and usually safely deported hastily, though not all the time out via your anus and rectum.
