My Plan as a Student - 7th grade - DUE WEDNESDAY

One of the good things about coming to the end of the marking period is that it gives us a chance to reflect on what we have done well and what we can do better.

I want you to write three goals you have for yourself as a student (notice I didn't say as a science student) for the 3rd trimester. Remember that goals are specific and measurable.

Here's an example:
  • Not a goal -- I want to be a better person.
  • A goal -- Every day, I will do something nice for someone else and write down what I do in a journal.

I look forward to reading about your goals. Let yourself by inspired by your fellow students.

MY GOALS:

1. I would like not to for get any homework or assignments, so i'm going to bring my planner to my classes. To measure it I will have my teachers sign it at the end of every week.

2. I would like to go 'above and beyond' in all my work. Every assinment that I get I will write down in my planner and write wether or not I met my own requirements.

3. By the end of the school year I want to have accomplished reading 30 books. I will measure this by recording all the books I have read in my booklist and updating my post-it for each book deadline I have met.

Here are three of my goals that I would like to do as a student.

1. My first goal is not to forget my pencils to class and to be prepared. I could make a list of everytime I brang my pencil and books to class and the I would mark the list.

2. My second goal is to go beyond an assignment. I could find out more then we were assigned to a project. Then if I did I would put a check in my assignment planner on the days I went beyond an assignment.

3. My third goal is to be more organised. I will clean out my locker EVERY Friday to make sure that i don't become disorganised again. I could have a calender and right down all the days I cleaned out my locker.

Those are my three goals.

Student Goals Blog Assignment

Now that it is the 3rd trimester, and getting closer to the end of the school year, I know things I still need to work on. These are some of my goals.

One goal I have is to wake up on time on school days. This would help me in school because if I wake up late, I miss the bus. If I miss the bus, I’m late to school, and that affects my schoolwork. If I wake up on time then I will make the bus and get to school on time and my schoolwork 1st period will be better.

Another goal I have is to be able to sit still and stay concentrated longer. If I can do that, I will be able to get schoolwork done better and faster. As the end of the 7th grade school year gets closer and closer, finishing work quickly and accurately is really important. If I am able to sit still and stay concentrated, I will be to get work done efficiently and correctly.

I really want to be able to understand algebra easily by the end of the school year. If I understand algebra, I will be able to understand a lot more equations. For example, if I need a certain number to complete an equation for money, I will be able to figure it out.

These are just a few things that I would like to complete, learn, and make happen by the end of the 3rd trimester of 7th grade.

1) One of my goals is to be able to sit down and do my homework as soon as I get home. I can measure that by taking the time I do my homework everyday and try to do it as early as possible.

2)My second goal, is to get better grades. That is measurable because I can compare the two report cards and see which one is better.

3)I would like to read for 1 hour every night. That way, I will read more and become a better reader. That is measurable because I can draw a table and record everytime I start, and end my reading.

My Goals for 3rd Trimester

1. My first goal is to be on time for each class and I will do this by making a schedule and photo copying it so I have one for every day of the week. And I will check it off every time I’m late so I can improve on the classes I need improving.
2. My second goal is to do better on my work and to set goals on all my projects and papers so I set myself a standard and I try to do better than my standard by making copies of my work and having my parents review it.
3. My last goal is to be nicer to people in school be putting a tally mark in my planner when I don’t be nice. I will add them up in the end of the day and write them down on paper and try get a lower score each day.

My Goals as a Student

My first goal as a student is to become just more organized, generally. Like maybe cleaning out my locker every Friday or bringing my books for third period to second period so I don’t have to go back to my locker to get my books and be late to science. For my locker I could write down how many Fridays out of the moth I cleaned my locker and try to clean it more often if I don’t do it every Friday. For bringing my books to my next classes, to help me remember, I could just make a small note in my locker reminding me to bring my stuff. To measure it, I could mark how many days I remember to bring my books and try to do it for the whole month.
On projects I could try not doing them so last minute. For example, if it were do the next week, I would start it the next day, instead of five days from now. The next project I have I’ll make sure I start it at least five days before it’s do and I’ll mark it on my calendar. I’ll also have my parents go over it.
I really need to start waking up earlier because I also come really close to missing my bus and I also feel really rushed. I’ll try waking up five minutes earlier every morning until I start waking up at the right time. I’ll write down what time I wake up every morning and make sure I wake up five minutes earlier than that time.

There’s a long list of things I want to improve on in the 3rd trimester. Here are three of the things I want to do.
Goal #1-Be on time and prepared for every class.
Action Plan #1 I’m getting one binder for every class, since there’s only one trimester left. I’ll keep everything I need in there, and rarely need to stop at my locker. If I didn’t put something in my binder, so I’m unprepared, I’ll make a check on a post it in the binder. If there’s more than 10 checks on the post it at the end of the week, I’ll have to try harder next week. If I do have to stop at my locker, I’ll only stop at my locker when it’s on the way. Every time a locker stop makes me late, I’m going to make a tally on the post it in my binder. If I have more than 10 tallies at the end of the week, I’m going to try harder the next week. I’ll ask my friends to walk and talk with me instead of stopping and talking. If I am late because of talking to a friend, you guessed it, I’ll put a frowny face on the post it. If I have more than 10 frowny faces at the end of the week, I’m going to try harder the next week.
Goal #2-Be organized
Action Plan #2 My binder will help me out with this too. If I keep all of my stuff in there neat, so I won’t lose anything. At the end of the week, I’ll have my mom check my binder. If it’s anything less than neat, I’ll have her dump everything on the floor so I’d have to clean it all up. I’ll keep my locker neat, and clean it every Friday. If I’m late to a class because I was digging through my locker, I will refuse one of Genevieve’s delish concoctions during 4th period.
Goal #3-Get into AP math
Action Plan #3 Guess what? My binder’s going to help me with this one, too. I’ll make a special section for math homework and tests. For an hour every Sunday, I’ll review old tests and notes. I will have my mom check my homework every night until we are both sure that all the answers are right. If I fool around during Math, I will refuse one of Genevieve’s delish concoctions during 4th period. (If you can’t tell, that’s a HUGE punishment!)

Adding the Measureable Part
Sorry Mr. Ardito, i forgot to put this part into my writing.

For my goal about waking up on time:
To make this work/happen, I will ask my parents to wake me up 10 minutes early. Then, I will set my alarm clock for 10 minutes after my parents wake me up and then I will have gotten up exactly when I'm supposed to.

For goal about sitting still and stay concentrated:
To make this happen, I will try to get all my energy out before school and during recess to be able to sit still. To stay concentrated, I will try to get a better nights sleep so I am more awake.

For my goal about algebra:
To make this happen, twice a week I will have my parents quiz me so I can stay on top of it and I will study really hard for tests.

During the next trimester, I want to be a better student. To do this, I have set three goals for myself. 1) to tame my energy 2) to receive nothing lower than a 95 on all my tests and 3) to get in shape for soccer and track.
My first goal is to tame my energy (especially for science class). I have a friend who says I talk too much, I sing too much and I’m way too hyper. Sadly, this is true =D. Sometimes I think (actually I know) I annoy her, and I really want to stop. I plan on doing this by learning to tame my energy. This will help me as a student because it will help me to concentrate in class. Also, whenever I go through a period without being too hyper, I will put a small check mark in my planner. If I have the full number of checks by the end of the week, I will have the good feeling of not being annoying. If not, then I’ll punish myself by not allowing myself to talk for three whole periods (gasp!).
My second goal is to receive nothing lower than a ninety-five on all my tests. This goal will encourage me to work harder at all my classes. In turn, this makes me a better student. I will pay attention in class, take the best notes I possibly can and study like crazy before tests. Whenever I do get lower than a 95 (which, thanks to my rigorous study plan, I don’t plan on doing), I will “punish” myself by studying everything I got wrong until I can do it in my sleep.
My third and final goal is get in shape for soccer and track. This won’t make me a better academic student, but it will make me a better soccer and track student. I care a lot about these sports, and how I perform in them, so being in shape is really important to me, because if I’m not, I won’t be able to do them to the best of my abilities. To accomplish this goal, I plan on taking jogs around the neighborhood at least twice a week (when the weather warms up). I will measure this by keeping a calendar and every time I run I will put a check on that day. I want to run at least nine times a month.
And those are my goals for the third trimester. If I can achieve them, I will have successfully made myself a better academic and athletic student.

My Plan As A Student

As a student I have many plans in all of my subjects. Plans such as, getting more sleep. The reason why I want to get more sleep is so I will be able to concentrate better in all of my classes. If I can concentrate be able to understand what the teachers are teaching a lot better resulting in understanding the topic more thoroughly in class. I will measure this by keeping a chart of how many hours of sleep I get each night, and another chart if this affects my grades after every trimester.
Another plan as a student that I have is to do more than what was asked of me assignments or projects, to go above and beyond. I will measure this by having a list of the projects and assignments that are due and I will write when I finish the project/assignment if I did go above and beyond of what was asked of me on it.
Another thing that I plan to do as a student is to be more organized. For example my locker and backpack sometimes get really messy making it a lot harder to find books and papers. I would measure this by making a plan to clean out my locker and my backpack once a week. I will also sort my books and folders by subject in my locker making it easer for me to find things. After I will check on a list if everyday I am able to find everything I need for every class really easily.
Will all of these plans that I have I think that I will be over all a more organized student. I will also be able to concentrate better and be a student who can go above and beyond on assignments for all subjects.

My goals for the third and final trimester:

1. My first goal is to not be late to school anymore. I will keep track of the days I'm late or not late by putting a check if i wasn't late that day and an x if i was late in my planner. And see if i had more non latenesses then latenesses.

2. My second goal is to get better grades on my report card this trimester. I can tell if i got better grades by looking on my report card and seeing if they are better than the 1st and 2nd trimester grades.

3. My third and final goal for this trimester is to read more books than i have in the last trimester i can do this by writing them down on my book list and seeing if i accomplished my goal.

Those were my three goals for this trimester i hope i accomplish them

Some of my goals for the third trimester:

1. My first goal is to get better at spelling. When I have to write something, I will ask a grown up to help me count my spelling mistakes. I will then write down the words I got wrong. My goal will be to have as little words wrong as possible, and the list will help me keep track of that.

2. My second goal is to stop procrastinating. Every time that I get a project, I will make a schedule for myself. Whenever I meet a goal, I will put a check mark next to it. My goal here will be to have as many check marks as possible, so I will try hard to make myself work. This will make sure that when I have a project due, then I won’t be stressing out over it last minute, which is VERY bad.

3. My third goal is to study more. When I have to study, I can make a chart to mark the amount of time that I study, and every time I will try to study for a little more. My goal will be to get up to an hour. This studying will get me used to later life when I have to study A LOT.

These are just a few of the goals that I want to accomplish this year. These goals will help me in EVERY area of school, so they are really important.

My Goals:
1. This is a out of school goal, i would like to make better movies, by better i mean better filmed, better edited and use better vocals. I'm going to keep track of this by making a folder and keeping all the movies i make in it and after 1 year watch them all and see how much better they have become.

2. My second goal is to be organized. I want to make sure my lock is clean and it always has my notebooks in the same place so i can get them easily and i want to make sure I'm on time for class because if I'm not the teacher needs to ask me where i have been and why i am late and then i will stutter for awhile, then when all that is settled 5-10 mins of class time time be waisted. I'm going to make sure i do this by making the teacher of the class that i am at sign my notebook at the end of class only if i was late.

3.My last goal is to do homework every night. I'm going to start using my planner at because the main reason why i don't do my homework sometimes is because i don't remember i have it.
The way I'm going to do this is i'm going to write a note on my computers todo list and put it on popup when computer is turned on so when i go on my computer i it will remind me that i have the homework in my planner and to check it.

My goals as a student for the third trimester are to:

1.) Remember to write things down in my planner because when I don’t I always leave things at school, forget to bring assignments, Loose assignments and forget to do assignments Making school very, very hard.

2.) Try to be organized with stuff like cleaning out my locker so I can find papers and handouts so I don’t become late for class digging through my locker trying to find them. And also so I can find my home works.

3.) Lastly I want to pay more attention in class because sometimes assignments get handed out and because I am not paying attention I do not write down the assignment so I miss it then I try to do it in tomorrows class and I miss the “do now”.

These are the 3 things I would like to improve on for the third trimester.

There are 3 things i want to accomplish this year as a 7th Grader

1. I'd like to be more organized in terms of writing neater. I wirte neat but I'd like that when I write, it's really neat.

2. Another goal that I need to accomplish would be to get in class on time EVERY DAY. i come to class everyday normal, not too late or too early but sometimes the teachers let us out late and I have to hurry to the next class. Most of the time its because I have to go my locker to get the notebooks I need and that usually takes up time so my goal would actually be to have my stuff to be on time to class.

3. One last goal that I have to accomplish as a 7th grader would be hmmmmm.......i think that I'd be to pay attention to what people are saying when I work in a group. =]

MR.ARDITO!!!
If you haven't gotten the message yet: I changed my username from defcon1 to Vanilla at best

My Goals for first trimester:

1. To do ALL homework assignments. I will always check my planner and even if I don't do it, I should hand it in the next day. I could probably measure the progress on this goal by keeping a list of homework assignments and the ones I missed. (I could also check my progress report of report card)

2. Improve with math. Most of the things I'm interested in involve math and I know that I'm capable of doing math very well. My main goal is to get into the "advanced" math class next year; the one where you learn 9th grade math instead of 8th grade math. I could measure my progress on this goal by making sure Ms.Timpano doesn't give me the evil eye, and comparing my homework with other classmates homework who are good at math.

3. To do more work around the house. Because when I look at all of the things my parents do around the house, it looks like I'm a spoiled 6 year old. I could measure my progress by recording the amount of dollars goes up in my monthly allowance .

As a student, for the next trimester, I have tree goals to persue. Here they are...

Goal Number 1:
My first goal is to keep track of my homework and finish all of it each night. This means I will have to bring my planner everyday to class and start my homework right after school and too not procrastinate. That way I don't have to relie on my short time in help period.

Goal Number 2:
My second goal is too wake up earlier before school so I can get to school on time. This means I will have to go to bed earlier than usual and even purchase an alarm clock. I will also limit my time on the computer or television so I can go to sleep earlier.

Goal Number 3: My last but not least goal is to try and focus my energy on what is being taught or studied during class. Mainly I want to be able to always know and comprehend what the teacher is saying. To persue this goal I will wake up earlier to have enough time to eat breakfast (which I learned helps people focus) and not leave the room as much. Also, not only will I just copy the notes but make sure to go over them so I don't get lost when the teacher is teaching it to me.

? is there a specific blog for per3 or is this for all 7th graders?

What are my goals as a student for the 3rd trimester?

a. One of my goals for the 3rd trimester is to be more neat and organized with my notes and my homework. I will do that by always looking over my notes and trying to always spell everything right and trying to be as neat as possible
b. Another one of my goals for the 3rd trimester is before a test I will look over my notes and not think that I can rely on my memory to ace a test. I will do that by making myself a study guide for whatever the subject may be.
c. The last one of my goals for the 3rd trimester is to always pay attention in class and stop chatting a lot. I will do that by reminding myself when I start talking to stop so I can learn as much as I can.

All theses goals connect, and if I do them correctly this last trimester will be a really good one.

My three goals as a student

1- I want to get back in shape for my upcoming soccer season. I can keep track of this by writing down a tally whenever I go to the gym to work out.
2- I also want to be prepared for all of my classes. What I can do is take down a note every period in my assignment pad if I forget something.
3- Another thing is how I want to become overall better at soccer. How I can keep track is by getting my coach to sign a note book (or something) when ever I get better at something.

My Student Goals

My goal as a student is to read at least 30 books by the end of the school year. If I do this than I will be doing more than is asked of me for reading. The way I will keep track of this is by writing down a book every time I start and finish it on my book list.

A second goal as a student is that I would like not to wait too long to start a project or even homework. I would like to start my project as soon as it is given that way it turns out better. To keep track of this I would make a note in my planner of what I would be doing each day.

My third goal as a student is that I study better for foreign language. If I study harder for foreign language than it would be easier to remember certain words and sentences. A way to keep track of this is to right down on a calendar every day that I studied and for how long.

My 3 Goals for this Marking Period
By potatopotahto

I think that I can always do better in school, so I have set goals for myself this trimester. These are a few of my goals that I hope to accomplish.

1. My first goal for this marking period is to measure my time wisely and make sure that I know how much I can do in that amount of time. For example, I want to have a set schedule for each assignment. I can do this by making a chart in my planner for long term assignments. I will dedicate a certain amount of time to each project and only spend that much time on it each day. I don’t want to put too much time into something that I don’t need to, and then not have enough time to do the things that I really do need to do. Doing this will affect my schoolwork because I will be able to spend more time on studying and doing the things that are the most urgent at the time. Sometimes I get a little carried away and make something into a big project that really does not need to be one. I really think that this marking period I will go beyond expectations, but I will not get too carried away!

2. My second goal is to go to bed earlier every night. I would like to do this because it is a fact that students who get more sleep tend to do better in school. When I am tired I have a very hard time concentrating and doing well, but when I am not tired I tend to produce much better quality work. I am always tired when I get to school and I want to stop that from happening. I can measure this by making a chart and writing each time that I go to bed. If I realize that on certain days I go to bed too late, I will try better the next week to go to bed earlier.

3. My third goal is to read 15-20 books this marking period. I would like to read books with all different genres so I can expand my boundaries. I think this will make me a better student because reading keeps your mind open and it is very educational. This will really push me to read more, and that is always good! I can measure how many book I have been reading and what genres they are by writing them down in my reading log. At the end of the trimester, I can see if o have accomplished my goal.

These are the goals that are most important to me as a student, and I really hope that I can achieve them.

Anonymous said...

1. I want to pay attention in class more and practice note-taking. I think that would help me understand what I’m learning better. I can measure how I do this by comparing notes at the end of class and reviewing what I learned in my head, if I’m still foggy on some parts, I’d ask the teacher to clarify it.
2. I want to read 70 books by the end of the school year. I think this would improve my vocabulary and widen my horizons. This will be good for me as a student because it I can evaluate this by writing down all the books I read on a chart.
3. I want to go above and beyond with my schoolwork, meaning to try and do extra-credit work and more than the teacher asked for. I can achieve this by checking with the teacher and ask what would qualify as extra credit. I can determine my success or failure by looking at a rubric or asking the teacher.
4. I’d like one of my goals to be able to type better. This can help me in school because that way I can finish work faster. I can fulfill this goal by practicing typing on essays and websites and simply practicing. I can measure my progress by testing myself on programs such as type-to-learn and web downloads, also by timing myself and comparing my earlier records.

Here are 3 goals that I have for the the 3rd trimester:

#1. I would not like to be late to school for the rest of the year. To measure this I will put an X through the square next to the day in my planner whenever I'm late to school.

#2. I would like to get my home work in on time from now on. To measure this I will put a tally mark in the section of the subject that I forgot my home work in, in my planner, then add them up and try to get a lower score every day.

#3. Finally I would also like to work on not socializing during class. To measure this I will get a journal and every time I talk or don't pay attention I will put a dash in it and at the end of the week I'll add it all up and see how bad or good I've done, I will try and get a lower score each week.

1. Firstly I would like to be able to make sure I did my homework right after I got home, instead of throughout the rest of the day(Unless theres something to do that I couldn't do till' tomorrow). I'd chart this with a calendar and I can just check off each day If I did and put an X if not.

2. Be as nice as I can throughout the day and try not to argue with anyone or say something mean, I'll go home and rate it In the calendar from 1 to 1.5 to 2 to 2.5 etc.

3. DO NOT TALK DURING CLASS. I've had a lot of trouble with this, this year, so I'll try as hard as I can. I would mark it like I did no.2.

Three Goals this Trimester
This trimester, I plan to set goals for myself and if I do so, reward myself in some way. I strive to be the best student and person I can be and I am planning to do this by…
1)Not procrastinating with
homework.

2)Not stressing myself out too much but still going above and beyond.

3)Getting better at taking notes.

My first goal is not procrastinating with homework and other assignments. Sometimes, instead of doing the right thing, which is getting homework or a project done as soon as possible (ASAP), I hang out with my friends instead. At the time I think that is what I want to do, but after the fact, I regret that decision when I’m up at 10:00 at night finishing homework or a project due the following day. This year, I have been doing this a lot and really being hard on myself after the fact. I plan to fix this by making a chart and writing down the future homework and assignments that I know of. Then, everyday that I choose homework over friends, I will put a check. If I don’t and I am stressing out way too much later, that is my punishment. I really hope I can accomplish this goal because I have been doing this a lot lately and stressing myself out way too much. It will help me in my next trimester because I will be quicker and more efficient (hopefully) with homework. This leads to my next goal.

My second goal is not to stress myself out too much but I still want to attempt to go above and beyond. I think I take all of my assignments, little or big, way to seriously and I usually stress myself out so much in the process of creating these assignments. Also, when I don’t get something I get so stressed out and I get way too hard on myself. When this happens, I break down which then takes me way to long to do the assignment. Even if the assignment is really small, I still think about it too much and push myself to go a little bit too far which results in stress. To fix this, I want to make time slots, depending how large or small the assignment is, and I have to be done with the assignment by the end of the slot and not procrastinate, as I said in my first goal. I don’t want this goal to prohibit me from going above and beyond I just want it to keep me from stressing myself out completely. I really want to do better the 3rd trimester and I will strive to not put to much pressure on myself but to still do a great job.

My third goal is to get better at taking notes. This year is when I really had to start taking a large amount of notes from homework and I am really struggling doing that. For social studies, we have to take notes from the textbook almost every night and I really DISLIKE doing it. I always take way to many not and what should take me 20 minutes takes me 2 hours. Also, when I take notes, I can never completely focus and then I always end up stressing myself out so much more then I need to. Actually, I really don’t need to stress myself out at all it’s just that I do way too much and then I get really upset and stressed. I plan on taking notes in moderation and keep reminding myself that the more I focus, the sooner I will get it done. I want to make a record of how long each reading assignment takes me (depending on the pages) and ask other people in my class how long they took. I will then compare these times and if I am within 20 minutes of the other person’s time, I will reward my self somehow. If I am not with 20 minutes of the other person, I will then keep pushing myself towards my goal. I really want to get better at taking notes because it will prepare me for 8th grade and for college. It will also prepare me for social studies the third trimester.

I hope to reach all of these goals because I think they will result in a great trimester.

3 goals that I want to improve on as a student!

1. The first thing that I want to improve on as a student is to write neater. A way that I can keep track of the way that I write is in my note book. Every time I use it in each class I will use a grading chart from 1-10. 10 is the best and 1 is the worst. So it is all in the same place that I have my notes.

2. The second thing that I will try to improve on as a student is to pay more attention. I can measure paying attention by asking the teacher how well I paid attention. Or I can keep a tally of when I talk without being asked.

3. The third thing that I want to improve on as a student is to take more time on doing my homework. A lot of the time I am rushing through it because I really needed to do something. A way that I can keep track of this is when I am rushing I can ask my parents if I did a good enough job or if I took enough time.

Anonymous said...

These are some of my goals that I need to reach. One of my goals is to write smaller and I can accomplish this by each time I take notes or by writing anything I can grade myself as 1=bad and a 5= great. Another goal I want to work on assignments a little more. I can do this by each day I get an assignment I can ask one of my parents to see if I did a good job or not.

Another goal is to try my best on subjects that a really don’t get sometimes like science and math. I can do accomplish this by telling the teacher or looking over notes I took in class and studying more.
Theses are some goals that I really want accomplish this year and if I don’t reach it a can do these goals next year.

1) One of my goals is to be on time when I come to the class room. I will make a check list of 1-5. I will check my list everyday.

2) Another goal I hope to accomplish is to not to talk during the middle of the class. First if I notice myself talking in the middle of the class first I will give myself a number from 1-5.

3) My last goal is to come in the class prepared with a pencil in hand, my hearing aid, note book, and my planner and I will my a list from 1-5 and make sure I’m on time. not montell

Now that’s it is the third trimester I have three goals that I would like to accomplish as a student. Those three goals are.

1. To go to bed earlier because I always wake up so tired and it makes it hard to stay focused in school, And when I cant stay focused in school I don’t understand the topic that were learning about and have trouble with it.
2. Keep track of my homework in a planner. I need to keep track of my homework in a planner because I always forgot to do the homework when I don’t write it down. I usually try to remember it but some of the time I forgot and get in trouble for not doing it.
3. To be more organized. I need to be more organized because I always loose homework and binders/notebooks and then I don’t have the notes that we need the next day in class.

My Goals for the third trimester:

1) My first goal would be to stop be late in the morning for school. Every time that I walk into the school, ether the announcements are on or they are just about to start. To keep track of this, I will put a check or an x at the top of my planner to see if I’ve been doing my goal.

2) My second goal is to get better behavior in all my classes, especially French. I want to do this because a lot my teachers have complained about my behavior lately. To measure this goal, I could ask my teacher at the end of class how I did. Then I will put a check or x by what the teacher says in my planner where it lists the subjects.

3)My third goal for the trimester is to get more organized. Every time I open my locker I can barely find anything that is in there. If I get my locker more organized, I can get all of my work done more easily plus find my stuff much faster. By doing this I will try to clean out my locker every Friday to get all the stuff that I don’t need out of it.

For the third trimester and however long I can hold them up, I’d like to set some goals. Here I am going to show you three specific goals I’d like to achieve.
This third trimester I’m hoping I can succeed in this goal. I want to eat less sugary foods and not as much carbs. I eat way too much of both of them, but mostly carbs. The way I plan on keeping track of these two things I eat is by making a chart of how much of each I should eat. I can research the amount you should eat and keep that by the chart. Also have a list of my personal favorite fruits and vegetables with the chart also. I will hopefully I can succeed in this activity and have a healthier diet.
Another goal I have is to not forget to bring a pencil, notebook, and/or a folder to class. Especially the pencil factor. I always have short, stubby, tiny pencils and a lot of times I don’t even have one. Some times I won’t have my notebook or folder or I’ll have the wrong one, but I don’t do that nearly as much as a pencil. Although, I do want to be able to show up in class with the right thing and with everything I need. I will plan on making a list to look at so I know I have the right things for each class. I will tape it to the inside of my locker and make it big and bright so I see it easily. This plan should hopefully work.
My third goal is to eat a much stronger breakfast every single day. I usually do, but the days I don’t I just crash and I am always tired during my classes. (This also has to do with waking up to early, I think.) I will set up an alarm clock to wake me up earlier so I can get more time to eat bigger amounts of FOOD! I think this will also help me out in my classes. I hope it will work really well.

My Goals for the 3rd Trimester:

1. I would like to take more pride in my work, that means to take good care on doing my work and be proud of it. I can measure this by asking classmates and teachers for advice and seeing what I can do better next time.

2. I would like to get straight A's this next trimester. I would want to do this so I could be proud of myself and know that I have acheived an important goal. I can measure this by checking my report card seeing if I got straight A's.

3. My last goal is to not drink so much caffiene because caffiene stunts your growth and believe me thats the last thing I need. I can measure this by making a chart and every day I dont drink it I will put a little check.

Hopefully I will accomplish all of these goals and keep it up if I do.

1. I would like put more effort into my work and projects.I can measure this by asking teachers and freidns if they think i puit enough effort into it.

2. I would like to read at least 25 books by the end of the school year. I can measure this by posting each book i have read in my booklist

3.I would also like to have a little more self confidence with my work and my answers. I can measure this by making tallies of how many times i dont feel confiendt enough.

MY GOALS......

1. I would like to not talk as much in class. When I talk in class, that effects my classwork and grade. One way I'm going to learn how to control my chatting is every time I disrupt the class, I will tally it in my notebook. As the amount of tally's decreases, I will know I am doing better with my goal.

2. When I get a homework assignment, I always put it off for the last possible minute. I'm going to restrict myself from the computer, t.v. and cell phone while doing my homework. This will keep me focused and less distracted at home.

3. I would like to break my realistic fiction, girly only book genre. One way I think I can accomplish this, is by trying a new genre every week. Each time I get a genre I like I can record it. After about 4 weeks of this, I can determine which books I would enjoy the most. This will help my reading options in school.
