Great work on your garden Year 7! What are you planting? We have a vegetable garden full of weeds at school, so we will need to spend some time on it, before we plant winter vegetables - broccoli, cabbage, onions.
We planted many things in our garden. We planted vegetables such as carrots and tomatoes. We also planted many flowers (I don't know the names of them). We planted corn and watermelons. We made our garden in the shape of a smiley face, so the eyes are flowers, the nose is vegetables, the cheeks are strawberries, the mouth is an assortment of things (I'm not positive on what) and the ears are corn.
To choose the plants that we decided to plant, we got into small groups (of 2 people) and we did research projects. Each group had to choose 3 plants and then do a PowerPoint (slideshow of information) on why they are good plants to plant in the Ardito garden.
We had a lot of fun in the process and can't wait to see what the garden looks like when it grows! Thank you for taking the time to look at our slide show. I hope to hear back from you and your students!

Dear Mrs. Gow,
