Enzyme Activity

Here is the link for the enzyme activity we looked at in class.
I recommend that you look it over on your own to make sure that you understand it.
If you have questions, you can post them here.

Enjoy!

Living Environment Study Guides

As you know, we will be having a test on everything we have learned so far.

I will be giving you some study guides in class, but if you need an extra copy or want to look at them online, here is how you can get them:

Human Body Systems - the parts and what they do
Key Concepts of the Human Body Systems - how the systems work to maintain homeostasis
Characteristics of Life - what does it mean to be alive? (You can also watch the presentation below)
Cell Organelles - how do cells work? (You can also watch this one below)
Scientific Method - how do scientists work?

Earlobe project

Here is a reminder about the homework you have for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. As you see (or talk to) members of your family, note down in a chart whether their earlobes are attached (B) or free standing (A). The chart should have 3 columns:
  1. Person's name
  2. Person's relationship to you
  3. Earlobe type

We will use this data later when we start our study of genetics.

Period 6 - Comparing Structure and Function

Hi guys!

Here is the presentation we started looking at in class. I ask that you pick at least 3 of the slides and talk about how the structure of the cells you see there relate to what the body system does that they are a part of.

In class, I said to answer on paper. I would ask that you answer right on the blog instead. Just like usual, use your fake name. In your responses, be sure to say which slide you are talking about.

Have fun!
